The first year goes by fast! It's true what they say. The days are long, but the years are short. Cake smash sessions are thoughtfully designed to capture every moment, from classic portraits to joyful, cake-filled celebrations. These sessions can take place outdoors or in my private home studio, offering a beautifully styled setting. Each session includes individual baby portraits, family portraits, and, of course, the cake smash itself, typically lasting around 60 minutes. Parents provide the cake and are welcome to bring 2-3 outfit changes or select from my carefully curated baby client closet.
Our journey together begins with listening closely to your vision for your baby’s first birthday session. I want to hear every detail, every hope, every little moment you want to remember. From the very start, I aim to make this more than just a photo shoot; it is a meaningful experience designed to celebrate one sweet year of love, growth, and joy.
To help you enjoy the moment (and avoid the stress), I provide everything needed for the session (props, styling, and thoughtful guidance), so all you have to do is show up and soak it in. I even share tips to help your little one feel happy and relaxed in front of the camera. The session feels relaxed and natural like a joyful playdate that happens to be beautifully photographed.
And the best part? After the frosting is wiped away and the balloons have deflated, you will have timeless images that capture not just how your baby looked, but exactly how this fleeting milestone felt. Because this is more than a photoshoot. It is the beginning of a lifetime of memories.
